Terms, plainly spoken.
On ordering
Orders are placed by correspondence and confirmed by reply. A reservation is held once the atelier has answered you and payment has been arranged; until then, bars remain with the batch. Letters are honoured in the order they arrive.
On batches
Each batch numbers sixty bars and no more. When a batch is spoken for, it is gone until the next has finished its cure — we do not hurry a batch to meet demand, and we ask that you do not ask us to.
On the bars themselves
Every bar is cut, stamped and bevelled by hand; small differences in weight, colour and pattern are the signature of the method, not a flaw in it. Weights are stated at wrapping and may soften slightly as a bar continues to cure.
On price
Prices are set per batch and may be revised between batches as ingredients demand. The price confirmed in your correspondence is the price you pay — it does not move once your bars are set aside.
On care
A handmade bar kept dry between uses will serve you long and well. Ours ask only for a dish that drains.
